Bucket Up-Down : Troubleshooting
Step 1: Check the control box settings
1. Move the toggle switch to UP ⬆ and press the PWR button. The display shows up-40.
2. Use the UP/DOWN switch to go to CEN-06. Use the touchpad to change it to CEN-09.
3. Use the UP/DOWN switch again to go to TD-0.0. Change it to TD-1.0.
4. Press AUTO to save.
Step 2: Check the DCV (direction control valve)
Relief valve
1. Turn the relief valve fully anticlockwise (loosen it).
2. Use the UP/DOWN switch and watch the bucket.
– If the bucket moves: the relief valve is faulty. Replace it.
– If the bucket does not move: turn the relief valve clockwise slowly until the bucket moves up and down with the control box switch.
3. Turn the knob a little at a time until the bucket moves up and down smoothly.
Slow adapter
– A slow adapter slows down the oil flow. This makes the bucket move up and down slower and smoother.
Hose connections (P and T)
– Connect the P (pressure) hose to the P port of the DCV.
– Connect the T (tank) hose to the T port of the DCV.
Direct return
– The oil must flow straight back to the tank. This makes the bucket respond faster.
Step 3: Check the tractor
1. Check your tractor model and its hydraulic pressure settings.
2. Tractors above 60 HP usually have strong built-in hydraulic power.
Step 4: Try the laser transmitter
1. Press the Manual button on the laser transmitter. Check if the problem is fixed.
2. If it is not fixed, reset the laser: press the Windy and Expert buttons together for 3 seconds. Then wait 2–3 minutes.
Step 5: Set the receiver straight
3. Set the receiver at a 90° angle (straight up).
Step 6: Keep the tripod steady
1. Put weight on the tripod so that it does not move.
Step 7: Check the battery voltage
1. The tractor’s alternator sometimes sends unsteady voltage (above 14 V) to the battery.
2. The laser control box needs a steady 12 V. Unsteady voltage can cause the up/down problem.
3. To fix this, remove the alternator wire from the tractor.
